...HAHAHA. I don't know what to say except, I can't wait to hear how this'll turn out.

If 2008's Ego Trippin' has proved anything, it's that Snoop Dogg has eclectic tastes - at least for a rapper.
In his country-infused duet "My Medicine" with legend Willie Nelson, Snoop said, "I'd like to dedicate this record right here to my main man Johnny Cash - a real American gangsta." It seems now that Snoop will be able to further pay tribute to the late country star.
According to Billboard, Snoop will be appearing on one of many remixes for Johnny Cash Remixed," due Oct. 14 via Compadre Records/Music World Music. Snoop's version of "I Walk the Line" will also feature his QDT production team which includes Teddy Riley and DJ Quik.
The project was approved by John Carter Cash, Johnny Cash's son. The younger Cash said that his father "would have loved this remix record. While it stays true to the original recordings, this CD touches on undiscovered ground. This is what my father was about: staying true to tradition while creating groundbreaking new music."
Pete Rock will also be getting a crack at remixing "Folsom Prison Blues," another Cash song.
"If you take your time to listen to it, country music is very similar to rap," Snoop Dogg told Billboard last year. "Johnny Cash is the one who stood out to me. I love his style, his swag, the songs he made."
